Áirc Damhsa at School

At Airc Damhsa Culture Club, we offer a wide range of school workshops that will immerse your students in Irish culture through music, song, dance, story, Gaeilge and folklore.

Our Áirc Damhsa curriculum is created by Edwina Guckian alongside the many primary and secondary school teachers working at the club. Whether you are looking for a one-time event or a long-term programme, we are here to collaborate with you and tailoring specifically to the needs of the class and your plan.

We offer a combination of the following in our programme:
Sean Nós Dance
Local traditions in music and dance
Lilting
Demonstration of instruments such as Uilleann Pipes, Flute, tin whistle etc
Traditional Singing
Social 2 hand dances
Local Folklore Stories specific to school area
Mummers
Preparation for School Concerts
Brush Dance
Folk Customs such as Brigid’s Day Crosses
& Brídeog Doll making
We can also provide these sessions through Gaeilge
